Moab, UT

 So we stole away the perfect time of year to be in Moab, UT- late Mar, early April.  I-70 on route, Colorado prepped us for max appreciation for the high 70s sunshine.

 We were lucky to find this campsite Saturday.  Ultimately, it was too close to the highway, so Sunday we moved down the Colorado River to a site where I had stayed two years ago with a few quebecoise.

 Slept decent (night temp low in the mid 40s- very comfy), now for exploration.  First we fuel, then drive a few miles up 191 to Canyonland National Park.  This plate is a combo of coleman stove cooked and foil wrapped fire cooked breakfast.  The fire cooked pear & gorp was mind blowing. 

I love my CRV.  But I kinda wish it looked more like this Cherokee.  The bathroom in this convenience store was so nice I woman at the sink said, "Man, I only washed my hands".

The La Sal Mountain range in the distance is one of the newest in the US. 

 Back at the campsite... Ryan likes road trips so much he reads about other people's trips on his own trips.  I took the opportunity to play with my nikon.

 Alright... it's time to hike.  Off into the canyon that is Negro Bill Trail we go.  Yesterday we were above the canyons, today into one.  I did not alter the color of this pic actually.

Quick Trip HOme in Feb

 I flew home to Michiana early Feb.  Frontier tickets for the new direct flight between Denver and South Bend are still cheap.

The first morning Dad & I ate breakfast with Nate, my big little brother, in Milford on our way to Syracuse. 

 We looked at a tiny lake house in Syracuse for sale.  I did not buy it, but I Love the Knotty Pine!

 Nate's kids: adored & safe at Gma & Gpa's.  And there's a huge basement to run around.  They run everywhere really.

Nate & I are aquari(?), so we scraped together birthday cake with maraschino cherry icing.  Yum, like cherry delight.  I added sugar milk kinda like tres leches, so the kids were skeptical.  Most ate it.

Tried for platinum blonde.  I always wanted to.  This picture of the special purple shampoo meant for such a shade is better than the pic of my face with the highlighter-yellow hair it turned out to be.  It corrected well.  Pics to come...
