Mama flew out to stay a long weekend at Devil's Thumb, a spa resort near Winter Park. I love her. We ate prawns, swam in a heated outdoor pool (ground covered with snow), sank into massage, roasted in a sauna, watched '9 to 5' (yeah, the Lily Tomlin, Dolly Parton flick)... escaped a bit together.

Took her to my favorite place to get lard tacos on Santa Fe (across the street from my art studio).
And of course we created a little. We painted glaze on to ceramic plates- perfect souvenirs.
Ryan's brewery opened in June on Main St., Louisville, CO. It's a success! They are busier and busier- people love Ryan's beer. And not at all effected by the floods.

Lisa and her husband, Will, stopped for a day along their great western road trip on route to Estes Park.
A friend from Greensboro, NC, LIsa and I worked at a bakery (my first job in NC) and never looked back. She's still baking the best damn cakes in G'boro. And Will is the friendliest mountain man you'd ever hope a friend would marry. Thanks for the road trip tips!!
